2025 Poet Artist Collaboration Poet Application

Red Wing Arts is excited to announce the 24th Annual Poet Artist Collaboration! We seek 20 juried Poets and 20 juried Artists to participate in this popular annual event which includes an art exhibit of the collaborative artworks and poems, poetry readings, and the creation of a chapbook featuring all artwork and poetry.
Important Dates:
January 10 Poet and Artist submission deadline
January 31 Notification of poetry and artist acceptance
April 18 Exhibit opens
April 27 Celebration of Poetry & Art Event, 2-4 pm

Poetry Submission Guidelines
- Poets may submit no more than TWO poems with the opportunity of ONE being chosen
- Previously published work IS accepted
- Each poem must be no more than two pages
- Please do not submit a poem and artworks as a pair. The purpose of the exhibit is to create collaboration
- Do NOT include your name within the poem
- Each poem must be provided as both a Word document AND a pdf
- Poems will be juried, and those selected to be part of the collaboration will be chosen by a participating artist who will create an original piece of art inspired by the poem
Additional Information
- If the artwork created from this collaboration sells, the poet will receive 20% of the selling price
- Font and font size will be standardized in the chapbook created
- Accepted poets will be expected to read their poem at our event, and will be encouraged to participate in one of our poetry readings in our gallery
- Accepted poets will be expected to provide an artist statement for their poem no later than February 28, 2025
- Additional instructions will be provided to accepted poets
