2025 Scholarship Application
IMPORTANT NOTE

DO NOT BEGIN THE APPLICATION UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED INFORMATION. YOU WILL NEED TO START OVER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION.

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IS MARCH 9, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- High school senior
- Reside in and attend high school in Lake County, Illinois.
- Minimum cumulative (overall) GPA of 2.5.
- Enrolled in or accepted to an accredited junior or community college, trade school, or university.
- Verification of acceptance must be provided.
- Completed W-9 Form - Click Here To Obtain A Blank W-9 Form
A complete application packet will include the following:

Two (2) recommendation letters (One Community and One Academic) in sealed envelopes or emailed directly from the reference form (the reference form template can be found here: Click Here (Please download to edit). One letter must be from the school on official letterhead. The second letter can be obtained from a Lake County community organization, employer, or personal reference. It must come from someone who is NOT a family member. Both letters must be signed by the author and include a phone number to reach the author if needed. Reference letters can be mailed or emailed directly to lcpscholarships@gmail.com from the author.

Evaluation/Award Process:
- Incomplete applications will not be considered Applications submitted on a form that has not been approved and issued by Lake County Pearls, Inc. will not be accepted.
- Applicants recognized as finalists may be asked to participate in an interview in March.
- Scholarship awards will be paid in the name of the recipient upon receipt of proof of full-time enrollment from the Accredited Junior College, Trade School, or University Registrar.
- Scholarship award must be used within sixty (60) days of receipt of payout or will be forfeited/canceled.
