Regardless of the outcome of the U.S. elections, this doesn't change the fact that our communities will continue to face increased surveillance, policing, and state violence. This includes the U.S. backing of Israel’s genocide of Palestinians with no conceivable end. Our second Counterpublic Cafe, “Solidarity in the Face of State Violence & Empire,” will be a space for us to discuss what this political moment in the United States means for our communities and how we can forge a path forward. This space will also offer an opportunity to hear from activists who have mobilized against repression and injustice and to explore how we can build solidarity networks for collective resistance.
