Temple Education Scholars 2025-2026 Dual Enrollment Application

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Temple Education Scholars program. This dual enrollment program is designed for rising high schools seniors who are interested in exploring a college major in education and a career in teaching. Participating students will engage in coursework (up to 5 college courses or 15 credits) throughout their senior year, on the path to earning a Bachelor's degree in education from an institution of higher education.
The first course, Why Care about College: Higher Education in American Life, and block of programming, will begin on August 11th and the bulk of the work will conclude on August 22nd. Students should be available Monday through Friday between 9:00am-4:30pm during these two weeks. When the fall semester at Temple begins on Monday, August 25th, students will attend TES programming and coursework for the remainder of the academic year daily between 1:30pm - 5:00pm. TES will collaborate with school leaders to adjust scholars' course rosters so this scheduling can be accommodated.

In order to apply to the program, please carefully read and answer the following questions. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply early! The final deadline for application submission is July 15, 2025. All applicants will be notified of admissions decisions soon after submission. There are a limited number of spots available, and students will be selected following a review of this application and according to the criteria below:
- Philadelphia high school student
- Rising 11th grader
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong attendance record
In order to complete this application, you will need to upload your unofficial transcript.
