The Advocacy & Outreach Intern will work closely with the Advocacy & Outreach team to support SAVE’s mission through direct community engagement and organizing efforts aimed at influencing local and state policies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, obtaining petition signatures, deep canvassing, and connecting residents with their elected representatives to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and other key issues. Additionally, the intern will assist in digitizing documents for the SAVE History Project and analyzing the Municipal Equality Index (MEI) for 65 municipalities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties to identify where advocacy efforts should be focused.
Location: Hybrid
Compensation: $20/hour for up to 20 hours/week
Internship Period: February 18, 2025 - May 3, 2025 (11 weeks)
Onboarding will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 10am - 2pm.
