We are happy you have selected Patel & Dornhecker Dentistry to serve your dental health needs. Our staff works together as a dedicated team. At one of our regular staff meetings, we developed the following Vision Statement, “Service from the heart”. With compassion and respect for the total person we offer quality care to all people through first-class services which enhance overall health and greater self-esteem.

Our payment policy is to have the patient pay for services the day that care is received. Payment may be made by cash, personal check or all major credit cards. If you choose to use a credit card for payment, there is a 3.75% service fee. Accounts that are not paid within 60 days will incur late fees of $40.00 per month that balance is not paid. Because dental laboratories require prompt payment from us, a down payment is to be paid on the day impressions are taken. We will be sensitive to your financial circumstances within the framework of sound business practices. We want to be concerned with your dentistry, not financial responsibilities.

We accept nearly all major dental insurance plans and are eager to help you with your claims. In this regard we would like to offer the following tips:

1. Please bring your Dental Insurance Card with you to your Dental appointments.
   
   
2. Take advantage of the pre-treatment estimate feature for the more extensive dental care. Your insurer will provide us with the amount that they will cover in advance of extensive treatment. We will then determine your estimated copayment portion.
   
   
3. This co-payment is expected at the time of service. You are responsible for any amount not covered by your plan. Coverage varies from carrier to carrier, as does the percentile that each carrier uses to calculate its “usual and customary fees”. Our fees may exceed the UCR definition of your particular insurance company. It’s important to understand that professional care is provided for you and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient the patient is responsible to our office for any balance not paid by the insurance. We are well-versed in filing patient’s claims and handling questions. We will help in any way we can.

There are many new advances in treatment procedures, specialized services and new products. As an example, Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry. With this advanced technology called resin bonding, we can close spaces, repair broken teeth and whiten teeth with only a short trip to our office. We have pamphlets available explaining these and other procedures. There is also a renewed interest in the areas of Periodontics (bone and gum loss) and Pedodontics (children’s dentistry). We believe strongly in providing a pleasant dental experience for your children and we look forward to serving you.

Upon completion of your dental treatment we will place you in our continuing care program and pre-schedule for your Periodic Recall. These appointments are designed to prevent little problems from becoming big or expensive ones. Preventative dentistry is the best and least expensive dentistry, but is easily overlooked or postponed. Don’t Miss Your Check-Up! It is our goal to make your visit to our office as convenient and comfortable as possible. We sincerely value your patronage.

We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. We ask that if you cannot make your appointment with us, please call at least 24 hours in advance. If we receive less than a 24 hour notice you may incur a $40.00 missed appointment fee.
