250m Swim Distances: It is acknowledged that participants will be new to open water swimming events with little or no experience of participating with others in an organised format. Before entering attempting a 250m distance, a participant should have already swam in open water for at least 100m non-stop. The event safety officer reserves the right to withdraw a participant during the swim if they are not making safe & suitable progress.
The above examples are offered as guidance, and are provided so you can assess your own swim abilty to complete the distance you have chosen in a safe manner.
