Acknowledgement of Age Eligibility Requirement

I acknowledge and confirm that I will be at least 16 years of age on or before June 1, 2027, as required for participation in the Young Scholars Program (YSP). I understand that this age requirement is mandatory and that students who do not meet the minimum age requirement by June 1, 2027, are not eligible to participate in the YSP 2027 program, regardless of their application or acceptance status.

Acknowledgement of Research Interest and Mentor Placement
I understand and acknowledge that, if selected for the Young Scholars Program (YSP), every effort will be made to match me with a faculty mentor whose research aligns with my first-choice area of interest. However, mentor availability and research opportunities may vary. If placement in my first-choice area is not possible, I understand and agree to be considered for placement with a mentor in my second- or third-choice area of interest.

By accepting an invitation to participate in YSP, I acknowledge that mentor placement in my preferred research area is not guaranteed, and I agree to remain open to the research opportunities available through the program.
