2025 Leadership Application

Thank you expressing interest in being a part of our 2025 Dexter Leadership Class!

2025 Dexter Leadership Program

Each session will begin at 8:00AM and conclude after lunch (approximately 1:00PM). Lunch will be provided each session. Attendance is mandatory. 

Below are the dates for our 2025 Program:

March 20 - City Services

April 17 - City Services and DISC Assessment

May 15 - Agriculture

June 12 - Healthcare

July 17 - Education

August 21 - Small - Mid Size Industry

September 18 - Large Industry

 

Additional Requirements:

Attend 1 City Council Meeting: City Council Meetings take place the first Monday of every month at 7:00PM. Below are the dates you may choose one to attend. 

April 7th, May 5th, June 2nd, July 7th, August 4th, September 1st. 

 

Attend/Host 1 Clean Up Dexter: Trash Pickup Day

We will host two Clean Up Dexter days on May 7th at 8:30AM and September 16th at 8:30AM. If you're unable to attend one of these dates, please make plans to host one with your business on a date of your choosing. To schedule, please connect with the Dexter Parks and Recreation Department. 

In addition to the required sessions listed above, I, the applicant, agree to attend one city council meeting from the dates listed above and participate/host one Clean Up Dexter session to fulfill my requirements of the 2025 Dexter Leadership Program. 

Applicant's Agreement: 

If selected as a participant in Dexter Leadership Program, I am willing to attend all functions sponsored by the program, and I understand attendance is mandatory. I understand if I fail to meet any obligations of the program that I may be asked to withdraw and may not graduate with my class. I understand I am to notify the Chamber office when I am unable to attend a session. I understand that if I miss more than one session, I will need to make up the session the following program year in order to graduate. I understand that my employer must fully support my application for the 2025 Dexter Leadership Program, and that they are willing to make available the necessary time for full participation in all scheduled classes and activities. 

Tuition:

The tuition fee is $300 for Dexter Chamber of Commerce members or $350 for non-Chamber members. Tuition covers supplies, meals, and presenters during our sessions. Tuition must be paid in full by March 7, 2025.
