The Great Playwright Census
  • About this survey

  • Welcome to the Australian Plays Transform (APT) published playwright survey.

Your insights are essential in helping us elevate underrepresented voices in Australian theatre. By sharing a bit about yourself, you’ll help us understand the diverse backgrounds of the playwrights we support, identify gaps or areas for growth, plan future initiatives and accurately report on the diversity of published playwrights hosted in our catalogue. We are committed to protecting your privacy and securely storing your data throughout this process.

The information you provide will be used internally by APT staff to analyse trends, report to funding bodies, and plan for the future. We assure you that your information will always be de-identified. APT operates under strict privacy guidelines as outlined in our Privacy Policy, which can be found here: APT Privacy Policy. Your trust is paramount to us, and we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data security.

There are 13 questions which should take between 2-5 minutes to complete. At the end you’ll be asked if you want to go in the draw to win a $100 gift card.

To formulate these questions, we have consulted the following resources:
