National Youth Sports Development Platform
National Youth Sports Development Platform (NYSDP), registered Under Section 21 is youth led, grassroots, non-profit, non-governmental organization using sport as a medium of development.
Focused on identifying, nurturing, and developing positive attitude-driven sports opportunities in underprivileged communities, NYSDP utilizes sport as a powerful medium to bring about sustainable community development, individual empowerment, and social transformation, and to build international and intercultural understanding.
In line with our vision of creating a platform to empower, encourage and support sports for development, NYSDP uses different methodologies to reach our mission of using sports to advocate, educate, empower, and create awareness on sports for development issues of youth and youth in sports in the country. These methodologies include training of young people, designing programs in line with government development priorities, conduct workshops and create platforms for awarenesses through sports and recreational activities.
From the year 2025 to 2027, our organization, the National Youth Sports Development Platform is to rolling out a 3-year Sports 4 Development Exchange in Namibia focusing on the Omaheke, Hardap, Ohangwena, //Karas, Omusati, Oshikoto and Oshana targeting young people below the age of 18 and 35 years.
National Youth Sports Development invites ( North - South Sports Volunteeers ) from outside Namibia to apply to volunteer for a period of 1 to 3 months in the following categories .
1. Sports 4 Development Coaching ( Coaching in less priviledged communities)
2. Sports Fundraising ( Fundraising for the organisation)
3. Sports Marketing ( Marketing Organsation Activities )
4. Sports Content Developing ( Designing Manals for the Organisation Programs)
5. NGO Governance
