    :::information to get you started:::

    booking
my books open periodically for custom work. i will post my openings on my patreon first, and then on insta and facebook. i currently work thurs-sat but can be flexible. i don’t take deposits for initial appointments, but if you cancel and need to reschedule more than a couple of times i may ask for one.

the booking process looks like this ->

    1. You fill out the form
    2. i'll sort through the emails and pick which submissions i'm interested in
    3. soraya omid [my assistant] reaches out, within a couple a weeks after the form has been received, to let you know whether we will or will not be moving forward with your proposal at this time.
    4. If it's a no, it's either because the proposal is one that is not my scope of work or we simply got too many submisions but we'd love it if you tried again during the next round of bookings.
    5. If it's a yes- soraya omid will either send over some dates to schedule your virtual consultation so we can talk more about the designs or just skip right to step 6 if a consultation isn't needed.
    6. If we are on the same page and you're ready to schedule the appointment, soraya omid will send a link to get the tattoo scheduled.
    7. THE DAY HAS ARRIVED FOR YOU TO GET TATTOOOOOED!

     TATTOO THINGS

    customs
i do most of my custom tattoos freehand. this means i draw the design on you with sharpie while you’re there— i find that this is a more collaborative process and allows me to adapt the design to your body much more intentionally than drawing it ahead of time. this does mean you won’t get to see your design ahead of time. for very symmetrical designs or adaptations of other pieces, i usually draw those up and stencil them. For process photos of their freehand work check out their instagram!

    tradish tats
i offer handpoke and traditional tattoos for Native folks — by trade only. they are sacred and i will not sell them. i am familiar with plains tribal markings and protocols, specifically Cree, Cree-Métis/Michif, and Plains Ojibwe traditions, but if you are from another tribe and wish to receive markings i will tattoo you so long as it follows your protocols.

    flash (on patreon only)

flash is booked on a rolling basis and the only place you can find my available flash is on patreon- click to check it out/join! patreon is the best place to keep up with what i'm doing. i can be very private on instagram, and i'm never sure how to announce what all i'm up to. it’s also where i post when i'm opening books, have last minute cancellations, and flash first, as well as other art and wips i'm working on.

here’s a rundown of the tiers on patreon:

    • $1 - access to newsletter updates and flash, including my google drive backlog!
    • $5 - all of the above, plus access to art posts
    • $10-50 - all of the above, plus access to wips and process videos. after a year of subscription to these tiers, you will also receive a discount you can apply to any tattoo with me. this is a way you can pay in installments in advance for a piece— most of what you put in you get back out. for $10/month, you get $100 off a tattoo after a year; for $15, $150; for $20, $200; for $30, $300; and for $50, $500.

    rates
i charge by quarter, half, and full day sessions. my rates are sliding scale and designed to pay me for my time while also allowing my clients to have some flexibility in their budget. i have a lower sliding scale for bipoc folks and am happy to adjust design, length of appointment, or anything else to fit in your budget, so don’t hesitate to talk money with me. For a more detailed breakdown of my rates click here!

i take cash or venmo payments. i don’t take card!

i also do not accept tips— feel free to bring a gift or contribute to a mutual aid fund on my behalf instead. If you would like an idea of things I’m looking for, here is my wishlist.

what am i into and not into tattooing these days?

the main things i want to focus on are:

    • Relationship to land and water (abstracted and realistic)
    • Goth and horror designs - examples: saints and angels, gore, weird and dying animals
    • Painting reproductions adaptations and updates ***
    • Indigenous focused designs
    • large blackwork pieces

*** i'm open to tattooing other people’s art on a case by case basis. i love doing painting reproductions & there are a few artists whose work they are really interested in translating to tattoos (aubrey beardsley + kay nielsen) but for any contemporary artists i'll need you to have express permission from the artist if you want a piece from them.

Here are some extra things i'm interested in tattooing, on a general level in addition to what's listed above:

    • textures
    • blackwork
    • larger pieces
    • knights and weapons
    • woodcutstyle
    • fish
    • beadwork
    • wizards
    • knights
    • fairytale vibes
    • gnarly trees
    • storytelling
    • trans bodies
    • BIPOC stories
    • beautiful monsters
    • scar coverage
    • coverups

i DON'T do color realism (exceptions are made for fantasy weapons because i love that), black and grey realism, or fineline work.

i'm particular about the styles iwork in, though if the piece is exciting to me i'm happy to branch out. If your idea doesn’t fit into any of these categories submit it anyway :) i'm often surprised by the cool shit you all come up with and i'm super open to hearing about it.

if you have any questions, please reach out to us at hi@anaamibiig.com!

we look forward to hearing from you

  • Let's get started!

  • Tattoo details

  • sliding scale bipoc tattoos:

as of now we only have a few spots available but if you wish to be put on a waitlist, just let us know! nipinet also offers a lower sliding scale for bipoc folks as well as is open to talking about trades.
  • COVID and Misc. information:

  •  COVID precautions/requirements:

covid exposure: If you have any symptoms the day of your appointment, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for covid within the ten days prior to your appointment, we ask that you let us know so that we can reschedule, for the safety of myself and my other clients.

masks: I ask all clients to wear an N95 or equivalent mask. If you don't have one, I will do my best to provide one for you! (If for some reason you can't wear an N95 mask, let me know and we can talk about options.)

guests: I currently request you not bring a guest with you in order to limit the covid exposure and amount of people in the space, unless you need someone with you. If you do need someone with you (for whatever reason!), that's totally okay! Please let me know so we can keep a count on persons in the shop on any given day.
