UNIDO ITPO Italy has the pleasure to invite you to participate in its “Iraq Business & Cooperation Forum”, which will be held from 10:00 AM through 5:00 PM on November 27th 2024 at Le Méridien Visconti in Rome, Italy.

Objective of the Forum is to facilitate partnerships and business collaborations between Iraqi and Italian stakeholders from institutions, business associations and private sector in the field of agribusiness, energy & environment, infrastructure & construction, medical & pharmaceutical and beyond, leveraging the role of business for international development cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Italy.

The Forum, organized in collaboration with Confindustria, will open with a plenary session in the morning, featuring speeches from high-level representatives from distinguished stakeholders – including the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), and other members of the Italian System, as well as from Iraq the Ministry of Industry and Minerals (MIM), the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI), the Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI), the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce (IFCC), the National Investment Commission, the KRG Board of Investment (BoI), the Industrial Cities Corporation (ICC) and the UNIDO Enterprise Development Centers (EDCs) – who will bring their extensive expertise and knowledge, significantly contributing to the strategic discussions and developments that will arise.

After a networking lunch, the afternoon of the Forum will be dedicated to B2B and B2G meetings, allowing for direct interactions between participating Italian companies and their Iraqi counterparts.

The Forum is organized within the framework of the “Investment Promotion for Iraq – Phase II” project funded by AICS and “Establishing Innovative Platform in Iraq” project financed by MAECI, both implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
