  • Thank you for your interest in Silicon Couloir's TEAMS (Teton Entrepreneurs And Mentor Services) Program. TEAMS accepts Mentors who meet the following criteria. If you meet the criteria, please click "next" below.

    Demographics and Capacity:

    • Full-time or part-time resident in Teton region (defined as Teton County, Wyoming, Teton County, Idaho & Northern Lincoln County, Wyoming). Part-time is considered a minimum of 6 months.
    • Capacity for 4.5 hours per month (a minimum of 2 team assignments* and attendance at Bi-Monthly Mentor Gatherings).**
    • Willingness to mentor an entrepreneur that may not be in your industry / area of expertise.
    • Willingness to step into Lead Mentor role after ~6 months in the program. 

    *If a new mentor has the opportunity to join a new team, and chooses not to for more than three months, they may be placed on a team by the Director of Entrepreneurship, or asked to leave the program until they can commit to TEAMS requirements. 

    ** Bi-Monthly Mentor Gathering attendance is an integral part of the TEAMS program for community building. It’s where mentors create community, learn from one another, and take part in the program’s continuous improvement. Mentors must attend at least half the offered Mentor Meetings per year.

     

    Professional Skills (must meet 2 of 4):

    • Managerial experience.
    • Start-up experience.
    • Acquisitions or merger experience.
    • Deep experience in at least one significant area of business: sales, financing, accounting, legal, other.

    Mentor Specialists:

    • Expected to work with mentor groups on an as-needed basis in a specific area of expertise (in person or virtually).
    • Expected to prioritize and attend Monthly Mentor Meetings when in the Teton region.

  • While we respect that you’re a volunteer, the TEAMS program has an expected commitment level for all mentors. This ensures that the program succeeds to its fullest potential. Will you be able to commit to the following, if accepted?

    1. A minimum of one year in the program
    2. ~4.5 hours per month ( at least 2 team assignments and regular attendance at Monthly Mentor Meetings* )
    3. Willingness to mentor an entrepreneur that may not be in my industry / comfort zone
    4. Willingness to learn/use the TEAMS program software management tool, Traction5
    5. Willingness to eventually step into a Lead Mentor role
    6. Willingness to thoroughly review training materials during onboarding to familiarize with program structure and best practices

    * Monthly Mentor Meetings attendance is an integral part of the TEAMS program for community building, imparting important information about ventures and mentors, it’s where mentors learn from one another, and take part in the program’s continuous improvement. Mentors must attend at least half the offered mentor meetings per year.
