What is the Florida TRIO Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI)?

The Florida TRIO Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) is designed for TRIO professionals who are ready to deepen their commitment to leadership and impact within the Florida TRIO Association and beyond. ELI cultivates leaders who are prepared to take on future roles within our governing organizations and the broader TRIO community. Participants engage in targeted training and networking opportunities to build the essential skills needed to excel as advocates and leaders for FL TRIO’s mission.

ELI candidates should exemplify a dedication to Florida TRIO, leadership potential, and an eagerness to contribute to the Florida TRIO Association’s vision. As a nominee, we ask that you keep these important qualities in mind:

Leadership Potential: Candidates should exhibit either demonstrated success in leadership roles or strong potential for future success, with the initiative and enthusiasm to lead within TRIO.
Commitment: Participants must commit to attending all ELI sessions and show a willingness to serve on various committees or in leadership roles within the Florida TRIO Association upon completion of the program.
Employer Support: All candidates must have a statement of support from their employer to ensure they have the resources and encouragement to engage fully.
Membership: Applicants must be current members of the Florida TRIO Association.
