Plant Maintenance Technician (Part-Time) — Plants Alive! Washington DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia

We're hiring a part-time Plant Maintenance Technician to care for plants at client locations throughout the DMV. You'll handle routine upkeep — watering, pruning, fertilizing, and inspecting for pests — making sure every plant we've placed looks healthy and beautiful. This is an independent, on-the-road role that's perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being hands-on.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine care: watering, pruning, fertilizing, cleaning, and re-potting
• Monitor plant health and flag any signs of pests, disease, or other issues
• Keep plant displays and surrounding areas neat and professional
• Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner
• Report supply needs and client feedback to your supervisor
• Pitch in on seasonal installations and event setups as needed

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation — expect significant daily driving across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia
• Comfortable working on a ladder
• Able to stay on your feet and lift heavy pots throughout the day
• Professional and personable — you'll be representing Plants Alive! at client sites
• Experience with plant care, landscaping, horticulture, or a similar field preferred — willingness to learn goes a long way
