Midwest Horse Fair 2025 Liberty Festival Freestyle Nomination Form

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

You MUST be a CURRENT ILHA Member to nominate. If you are not a current ILHA Member CLICK HERE to do so before completing this application.
ALL Divisions (Senior, Youth, Pro & Non-Pro) are invited and encouraged to apply.
ALL 5 competitors EACH night will earn prize money. (Champion = $1,000, Reserve Champion = $625, 3rd place = $500, 4th Place = $250, 5th Place = $125)

ILHA FREESTYLE FORMAT - All ILHA Freestyle Competitions consist of a Compulsory Pattern and a Freestyle Performance. Each is performed separately and the scores from both are combined for a Total Score.

MIDWEST HORSE FAIR (MHF) INVITATIONAL FREESTYLE WILL CONSIST OF 2 SEPARATE FREESTYLE CLASSES.

For the Invitational Liberty Freestyle at the MHF there will be 10 total competitors divided into 2 freestyle classes with 5 competitors in each class. One class of 5 competitors will perform their Compulsory Pattern during the day April 11 and their Freestyle Performance on the evening of April 11 and the other class of 5 competitors will perform their Compulsory Pattern during the day on April 12 and their Freestyle Performance on the evening of April 12.
The Compulsory Pattern for both classes will be Liberty Horse Intermediate Pattern 2.

You MAY ALSO submit a highlight video or video of a previous Liberty freestyle performance, showcasing additional skills you and your horse(s) bring to the arena. While a highlight video is not required, providing additional information to the selection committee can enhance your chances of being selected.

REQUIRED: Please provide the link to a video of you and the horse you will use if selected completing Liberty Horse Novice Pattern 1. Please check to make sure the link works for public viewing and the video is hosted on either YouTube, Vimeo, or another video hosting platform. (NOTE: File sharing platforms such as Dropbox, Onedrive, or Google Drive are NOT accepted and videos submitted via these will not be viewed.) Your pattern does not have to be perfect but should be performed to the best of your ability showcasing you and your horse. *

OPTIONAL: Provide the link to a highlight video of you and your horse(s) (no longer than 5 minutes) or a video of a past Liberty Freestyle performance. If you choose to submit a highlight video longer than 5 minutes, ONLY the first 5 minutes of the video will be evaluated. Please check to make sure the link works for public viewing and the video is hosted on either YouTube, Vimeo, or another video hosting platform. I acknowledge that if I am selected for either of the Freestyle classes, I will be required to be a current ILHA member, register for the class, and submit music, a bio, photos & payments by a specified date (to be announced). Failure to do any of these items will result in my entry being revoked, and the next ranking nominee taking my place. The exact deadlines will be announced shortly after selections are made. If I fail to meet these requirements, any payments made for this entry are 100% non-refundable.*
