The purpose of this training program is to empower individuals to become actively engaged doulas, thereby increasing the statewide workforce of professional doulas. This initiative focuses on equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge while fostering a commitment to actively practice as doulas within their communities, with a high focus on becoming Medicaid credentialed providers. By training local doulas, we aim to ensure that mothers receive vital support from someone who understands their specific community needs.
