ISNA Cares: Volunteer Application

ISNA Cares is the Mental Health & Social Services Department of ISNA Canada. If you’re interested in volunteering with ISNA Cares, please complete the form below to join our volunteer list or apply for current volunteer opportunities.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for two ongoing projects:

1. THP Hospital Visitation Program
In partnership with Trillium Health Partners (THP), ISNA Cares runs a Hospital Visitation Program to ensure community members receive companionship and encouragement during hospital stays.

Commitment: 3 hours bi-weekly at either Credit Valley Hospital or Mississauga Hospital.

Requirements: If accepted, volunteers must complete a Health Clearance form before beginning their role. Please note that the cost of completing the form is not covered by OHIP and is the responsibility of the volunteer. The hospital onboarding process may take up to 6 months to complete.

2. ISNA Cares Phone Line
To meet the needs of our community, ISNA Cares operates a Phone Line available 9:00 AM–9:00 PM, 7 days a week. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting clients in crisis, connecting them to the appropriate resources, and ensuring hospital patients' needs are addressed promptly.

Commitment: 4 hours weekly, from the comfort of your home.
