Rise Wise Foundation is a Hong Kong Registered Charity (91/18141) dedicated to making a positive impact through animal-assisted interventions for individuals with special educational needs (SEN), the elderly, and ethnic minority students. The ultimate goal is to promote inclusion, enhance well-being and elevate the quality of life by harnessing the therapeutic benefits of animals. Role Description
Volunteers will guide youth with special educational needs (SEN) in pet care and grooming tasks, assist with store management, care for the resident therapy dog and day-care animals, and provide customer service in an inclusive and supportive environment.
About Us
The Puppy Lounge serves as a vocational training hub for SEN youth, equipping them with practical skills and career pathways in animal care. We offer professional pet day-care and grooming services while stationing certified therapy dogs on-site to deliver animal-assisted intervention (AAI) programs. These initiatives enhance beneficiaries’ social interaction, emotional regulation, and job-readiness competencies across diverse community groups.

Requirements
- Genuine passion for dogs and animal welfare.
- Prior experience in retail or store operations (e.g., inventory, cashier duties, or customer engagement).
- Comfortable and patient when working alongside SEN beneficiaries.

Commitment
1–2 days per week; 4.5-hour shifts
