We have plenty of photos and videos of our current rats and our cage set ups on our facebook page and website. We are also happy to send along videos to adopters of certain animals. • Adoption Contract:

    A) Adopting person(s) agree that the animals applied for will be obtained solely as a pet for themselves and/or their immediate family. Therefore, as a PET, the animal is NOT to be bred under any circumstance. Additionally, the adopter agrees the animals will NEVER be for use in dog sports, ie: barn hunt, NASDA or any other rat sports where rats are dangled in front of dogs or used for the purpose of training dogs.

    B) Furthermore as a PET, the adopter will see to it that the rats are to be cared for in a humane and responsible manner; the rats will receive all care and attention necessary to ensure their health and well-being. The rats will be provided with a clean and adequately-sized cage and should not be kept on toxic bedding (cedar, fleece or paper ie: carefresh) or in an aquarium or tank of any type where adequate airflow is prohibited. If kept in a cage with a wire bottom or levels, they will be completely covered with appropriate nontoxic material to prevent injury to the rat.

In addition to the appropriately sized cage the rats are to be housed in a temperature controlled environment, where they will not be exposed to the elements, predators, and/or other harmful animals/insects. Clean water, nutritious food, exercise, and veterinary care are to be provided as well. The adopter will provide companionship in the form of at least one same-sex or spayed/neutered cage mate, and sufficient human interaction for proper socialization and mental stimulation. Adopter will not permit young children to handle the rat without proper instruction and supervision.

    C) Adopting person agrees that in the event the rat must be re-homed or if ever the adopter is unable to provide the necessary care (veterinary or other wise), they agree to contact Cuddles & Chaos Rattery, and allow us the right of first refusal to take the rats back. Return of the rats is to be done by the buyer at their expense. There will be no refunds. We also ask that if possible the rats are returned with a suitable cage to house them in. If the adopter has located a good home for the rats, it must be with the knowledge and consent of Cuddles & Chaos Rattery. The rat is not to be sold, given away, turned loose, abandoned, or otherwise disposed of to any person, retailer, pet store, dealer, institution, shelter, auction or other entity.

    D) The breeder is to be notified if said animal develops a serious temperament problem, illness or chronic condition which may be genetic. Adopter understands that while the breeder sells no animals that have health issues at the time of placement, no guarantee is expressed or implied about the health or temperament of this rat. The breeder, Cuddles & Chaos Rattery is hereby absolved from any liability for future damages or injuries caused by the above described animal and any veterinary bills incurred on behalf of said animals.
