Rutgers University professor and cultural theorist, Brittney Cooper, says that "the racial struggles we are experiencing are clashes over time and space." For this speculative anthology, we're asking you to identify and paint us a portrait of those struggles, and arm us with the tools we need on their battlefield.
How might we envision a future where Time is reclaimed, reimagined, and liberated from the restraints of white supremacy? How might Time function in a world free from colonial influence? What do we need to do to make this world a reality?

About the Anthology: We are a South Los Angeles-based anthology accepting original, previously unpublished, speculative works in flash fiction and poetry. This collection will be published by HINCHAS Press and edited by poet, curator, producer and cultural worker, Bri Stokes.
Payment: Hinchas is currently developing an IndieGogo campaign with the aim of compensating all of our contributors. We are a very small team who do this as a labor of love, all while managing children, work, the holiday season, and the everyday stressors of life. We appreciate your patience, and will continue to check in with updates as they arise.
This anthology is BIPOC-led and operated, and seeks to curate submissions exclusively from artists and writers who identify as Black, Indigenous, or people of color. We also welcome submissions from disabled BIPOC creatives and BIPOC creatives within the LGBTQIA+ communities. Los Angeles-based applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
There is no submission fee.
