Procedure :
1. Fill the thermocup almost to the top with water.
2. Place the thermometer probe into the water and switch on.
3. Turn the temperature control knob to an approximate position where the temperature is 120°F (48.9°C), and allow the temperature to settle.
4. When the thermocup has reached the set temperature, record the maximum deviation of the temperature.
5. The deviation is caused by the thermostat continually switching on & off.
6. The maximum temperature deviation should not exceed 11°F (+6°C Turn the control knob to its maximum setting.
7. The temperature should reach between 179°-200°F (82°-93°C
8. DO NOT LET THE TEMPERATURE EXCEED 200°F (93°C)
9. The results of the function tests are to be recorded in an appropriate form and kept for future reference.
10. If the thermocup does not meet the specifications, it should be taken out of service and sent for repair, or disposed.
