Admissions Committee
Supports efforts to increase Black student enrollment at Cornell by collaborating with the university’s admissions office, engaging with prospective students, and organizing outreach initiatives to ensure a strong and diverse pipeline of future Cornellians.
Campus and Student Relations Committee
Strengthens connections between Black alumni and current students through mentorship, networking events, and advocacy to enhance the student experience and support their academic and professional growth.
Communications Committee
Manages CBAA’s outreach and engagement through newsletters, social media, email campaigns, and other platforms to keep alumni informed, connected, and engaged with CBAA’s mission and activities.
Membership Committee
(Need representatives from every decade) Focuses on expanding and diversifying CBAA’s membership across generations, ensuring alumni from all eras stay engaged through targeted outreach, networking opportunities, and initiatives that foster lifelong connections.
Programming and Events Committee
Plans and executes impactful programs and events, including social gatherings, professional development sessions, and cultural activities, to strengthen the Black alumni community and enhance alumni engagement.
Fundraising/Endowment Committee
Leads efforts to secure financial support for CBAA’s scholarships, programs, and initiatives by organizing fundraising campaigns, cultivating donor relationships, and growing the CBAA Endowment.
CBAA's 50th Anniversary and History Committee (Planning for 2026)
Prepares for CBAA’s milestone 50th anniversary by documenting its history, celebrating achievements, and organizing our Fundraising Gala and initiatives to honor the legacy and impact of Black alumni at Cornell.
Reunion Committee (Planning for June 2027)
Plans and coordinates CBAA’s participation in Cornell’s Reunion Weekend, ensuring a meaningful and memorable experience for returning alumni through special events, class gatherings, and celebrations of Black alumni contributions.
