Since at least 1922, the McGill Scarlet Key has been awarded by the Society through the Principal to students who have gone above and beyond in their dedication and leadership in student life.

Deadline: January 31, 2025 at 6:30PM EST (including all reference letters) Reference letters provided shortly thereafter may be considered at the discretion of the committee.

Reference letters must be sent as a .PDF from the referee's email to scarletkey.alumni@mcgill.ca

This application is split into three parts: Nominee Background, Essay Questions and Referee Contact Info. Before you begin, please review The Scarlet Key Application Guide for requirements for each category.

The 2024-2025 "pinning" ceremony will take place on Thursday March 27, 2025. Applications will be reviewed the weekend of February 8, 2025 and applicants will be contacted thereafter.
