Parade Rules

1. All participants must check in beginning at 3:00 PM with Parade staff in front of California Gourmet Pizza parking lot to receive their number and be directed to the line up
2. DO NOT enter California Gourmet Pizza parking lot unless directed to do so by parade staff
3. Due to safety concerns, NO candy or miscellaneous items may be distributed by any parade participant
4. Entries containing vehicles must never leave them unattended and maintain control of them at all times
5. Entries containing vehicles of any kind must furnish a valid driver's license number per vehicle with parade application
6. No children under the age of 8 may participate unless accompanied by an adult
7. Participants must complete the entire parade route
8. All entries including cars are required to have Christmas decorations and illumination
9. There is no parking by the railroad tracks, vehicles will be towed at owner's expense
10. Dignitaries should furnish their own vehicles and signs if not provided by their sponsor
11. No gangs or gang colors are allowed
Additional Information

1. Parade applications are due Monday December 2, 2024
2. Parade begins promptly at 5:00 PM, please allow plenty of time for check in and line up prior to arrival
3. The parade route begins at the corner of West Street and Front Street and heads south down Front Street and ends at Kidder Street
4. There are no dressing rooms available for participants

RELEASE OF CLAIMS

In consideration of your accepting my/our entry in the 38th Annual Parade of Lights, I/we the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby for myself/us, my/our heirs, executors and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I/we may have against the City of Soledad and the Soledad Christmas Committee and their respective agents and employees for any and all injuries suffered by me/us, or by others connected with my/our entry, in connection with this event. I/we hereby grant permission to the parade organizers to use photographs, video and motion pictures of this event containing my/our likeness, or that of any float, animal, or other property belonging to me/us, or in my possession or control for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to parade publicity. I have received a copy and agree to follow all parade rules.
