    This form is necessary to make sure that if an accident happens at an event that you, your society, and its members are protected by the SU's insurance policy.

  • In this setion you will need to outline the risk that could happen at your event. The way you will stop the risk from happening and then the way you will respond if someone is still hurt by the risk you mentioned. You need to be specific.

    Your event will also need to be Risk Rated. This means concidering how severe the risk is (from minor inconvenience to fatality) and how likely it is to happen (from improbable to highly likely). This will ensure that you have a strong idea of how dangerous the risk is and the amount of measures needed to make the event safe.

    Slips, Trips & Falls  Attendees 9 Removing all tripping hazards from the floor and highlighting the ones that cannot be removed with bright tape and by verbally warning attendees. If someone does trip we will look after the person and call 111 to be walked through how to assist them if they are badly hurt. We will also contact Campus Secuirty as they are the nearest First Aiders in order to get more help.

    Please include this example in your Risk Assessment form, it is the most common cause of injury!
