Introduction
The George Winter Award was established by the European Society for Biomaterials to recognize, encourage and stimulate outstanding research contributions to the field of biomaterials. The nominee must have contributed significantly to the knowledge in the field of biomaterials through basic, experimental and/or clinical research. The award will be presented during the 34th Annual ESB conference in Torino, Italy (7th-11th Sept 2025).
The nominee needs neither to be a member of the European Society for Biomaterials nor a citizen of a European country. Posthumous nominations are not considered. Winners of the International Award are not eligible for the George Winter Award (and vice versa).
This award is given by the European Society for Biomaterials Council and consists of a plaque, a refund of the registration fee for the ESB conference, accommodation at the conference hotel for the duration of the conference, and an economy-class airplane or train ticket.
Nominations are due by Friday, 10th January 2025.
