Below are the policies of Doggystylingwsm.
By making and attending an appointment with us, you agree to these policies. If you have any queries do not hesitate to contact us.
Payment
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. We accept cash, card or bank transfer.
Appointment times
Please arrive no more than 5 mins before your appointment time, and arrive within 30 mins of the text/call to collect your dog or at the agreed time at drop off. Please arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, failing to do so may result in your appointment being cancelled as ungortunalty we may not have the time to groom your dog. If you have a full groom booked and are over the 15 minute mark we may be able to bath & tidy your dog but may not be able to complete the full groom. If you are running late for your appointment, please make contact immediately. If it gets too late, I may no longer have the time to still do the groom with your dog, yet the full price will still be due.
Cancellations & no-shows
We require aatleast 48 hours notice of any cancellation or rescheduling. Less than 48 hours notice will incur a late cancellation fee of 25% of the appointment price that was booked. Except in certain circumstances where rebooking was necessary.
For Less than 24 hours notice, or not turning up for your appointment at all, will require up to 100% of the groom price to be paid. Frequent offenders may be required to pre-pay their grooms.
Matting
If a dog has knots that are extensive across the body and/or legs, the dog may well need to be shaved very short all over to get them off. We will attempt to notice and discuss this with you directly at check-in. If it isn’t found until after you’ve left, we will still attempt to contact you before shaving your dog short unexpectedly. Please be aware that heavily matted coats can hide many underlying conditions, including. but not limited to: rashes, wounds, abscesses, thorns and parasites. These pre-existing conditions are exposed by the shaving process (not caused by it) and a dog with heavy matting may require additional veterinary attention to treat these conditions once they are uncovered.
We will attempt to dematt small matts here and there, however will not spend more than 15 minutes on a matted area dematting as this can be deemed cruel and unfair under the animal welfare act as it can cause unnecessary pain and stress to your dog. We will always discuss matting with you and how you would like it dealt with. However in severe cases it may have to be a case of restarting with the coat.
Also, in the case of dogs with thick matting removed from the ears, it is not uncommon for the pet to shake the head so aggressively as to cause the formation of hematomas (bleeding bruises) at the edges of the ear flaps. This is a result of the matting being left on the ears and restricting blood flow, and not the fault of the grooming process. Excessive matting may incur a matting fee due to the damage it does to our blades and additional time it takes to carefully remove matting. Matting fee can vary between £5-£10 depending on severity.
Fleas
If live fleas are found on your dog at the time of grooming, your dog will be given a flea bath and the salon will be given a deep clean and flea bomb to kill any left in the environment. This will incur an extra expense on top of your groom fee, this will be a flea charge if £10 per dog.
Redo policy
If you’re unhappy with the groom you have recieved, please contact us within 48 hours! We can try to fix it up for free within that timeframe, but beyond 48 hours becomes a grey zone.
In the event that your dog is struggling with the grooming process for any reason, be health or behaviour we may have to pause the groom. Unfinished grooms will be discussed with you and we will explain the situation. If your dogs groom has been paused due to stress we will arrange a new appointment for you to hopefully finish the groom. Your pets wellbeing comes first to us and we want to make each visit as positive as possible. We often handle nervous dogs who may have been deemed difficult by other groomers so appreciate your understanding with taking it slowly with them.
Please inform us immediately if you observe any behavioral or physical problems with your dog after your grooming appointment. We cannot take responsibility for problems we don’t know about or that occur some time after grooming.
In case of a pre existing medical emergency, you give full authorisation for us to seek medical care for your dog at your expense.
We will endeavour to use your own Veterinarian, but in cases of urgency, we will use the practice we usually deal with

We will take photos and videos of your dog/s and we reserve the right to use these for promotional and marketing purposes on my website, social media, or other advertising material. If you have concerns about the use of this media please contact us in writing.
Finally your pet is our main priority, we endeavour to making them not only look good but feel good too! We cannot wait to welcome them into the salon and pamper them! 🐾
