2026 AAW Symposium Demonstrator Application
  • 2026 AAW Symposium Demonstrator Application

  • Thank you for your interest in demonstrating at the 2026 AAW International Woodturning Symposium in Raleigh, North Carolina, June 4-7. We look forward to reviewing your proposal!

    • Before filling out the application form, please prepare all your application materials. We recommend drafting your answers in a Word document first, so you can easily copy and paste them into the form.
    • When submitting images, please name the files using your last name, topic title, and image number (e.g., JohnsonBowlTurning1, JohnsonBowlTurning2).
    • You may submit up to three demonstration topic proposals. Please ensure each proposal is complete, as incomplete applications will not be considered.
    • All demonstrations must fit within the 90-minute time frame, including 10-15 minutes for audience questions. It is essential that your demonstration is safe, informative, and engaging, allowing the audience to gain a full understanding of the process from start to finish.

For each topic, you will need the following:

    • Title of the demonstration
    • A brief description/key points
    • A project image (no instructional handouts required at this stage)

    • A brief professional biography
    • A list of relevant recent demonstrations (topic, year, location)
    • Up to six images of your own work with captions and photo credits

The deadline for submitting your application is 11:59 PM ET on June 1, 2025. You may edit your application using the "edit" link in the confirmation email until the deadline.

    Compensation:

    All accepted demonstrators will receive:

    • $225 per rotation
