Junior Naturalist School- Leadership Badge

Grades: 6th, 7th & 8th
Thursday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

6 Week Series: April 3rd, 10th, 24th, May 1st, 8th, 15th
The Jr. Naturalist Program consists of 4 six-week sessions. Sessions can be signed up for independent of each other, but to achieve the Jr. Naturalist title, students must complete all 4 badges. The entire program takes place over the full duration of the school year (2 sessions per semester).

While earning the Leadership Badge students will learn about the nature center’s education animals and how to encourage others to care about the environment. They will practice leadership skills like public speaking and enviromental advocacy projects. This session will also serve as an introduction to animal husbandry practices as a prerequisite to volunteering at the Nature Center.
