Dear Returning or Prospective Food Vendor!
As you know the Inaugural Festa Italiana was a massive success, drawing in over 8000 attendees! As we begin planning for 2025 we anticipate even larger crowds and greater success.
Festa Italiana will take place Saturday, June 7th, from 3-10pm, at Historic Sloss Furnaces. We hope that you will make time to join us for this important celebration of Culture, Music, Singing, Food, and, of course Family Fun!
On behalf of the Italian American Heritage Society of Birmingham, a 501(C)3 not for profit organization and its Board of Directors, we would like to invite you to participate in our annual event. As a participating food vendor, your establishment can expect to be part of an event that will put your cuisine in front of thousands of festival patrons.
Pricing for a single food vending space (10x10) is $500 and a double space is $1000. Please know, if you do not currently hold a business license from the City of Birmingham you will need to obtain one and supply us with a copy of the certificate by May 7, 2025. Food trucks and trailers MUST have permanent City of Birmingham Business License. The fee is based on your annual sales. Tent set-ups can obtain a temporary or transient license from the City of Birmingham. The City charges for $150 for this license. This can only be done a week before the festival.
If your application is approved by the festival, we will send you the application and contact information for the City Tax and Licensing Office. Because Festa Italiana is a one-day event, we will take care of your Jefferson County Health Department process. We will provide all food vendors with an umbrella one-day exemption prior to the event.
If you are a food truck, per the new City of Birmingham/Jefferson County guidelines, you must have a fire inspection done on your truck prior to the event. If you are a tent set-up you will be inspected either the day before the event or the morning of.
Once you are approved, we will provide you with the new Jefferson County Health Department and City of Birmingham Fire Inspection check list.
ALSO, PLEASE KNOW, THAT APPROVED VENDORS CANNOT SELL ANY BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND. THIS IS A NO TOLERANCE POLICY!!! THANK YOU FOR RESPECTING THIS REGULATION.
If you wish to apply for a vendor please complete the form below. As always, please feel free to contact me at anytime. Ciao!
