Complete this form to register as an Open Studios Artist for June 2025
  • Notes before you start

    1. You can save your session and complete at a different time. You'll find a 'save' button at the bottom of the form.
    2. The 'Text for directory' and 'Studio directions' are limited in character length, so we suggest using Word or Google Docs to check the character amount for both, rather than typing into this form.
    3. The form will only accept your images if they fit the size, so please check the image guidelines before trying to register
    4. You will need your payment card to pay the fee and submit the form.

  • Artist and Studio Information

This is where you'll provide us with the information to be displayed in the directory
  • A single spread of the Open Studios directory, with 3 images and the artist information below. One image is of trainers on wooden decking, one is a painting of a weeping willow and one is a brightly coloured abstract painting
  • Studio information:

    • If you have a studio at SVA, please include your studio number or name at the top
    • If you don't have a studio yet, please type 'TBC'
  • Social Media

Please note : We only have limited space in the directory, so we are only asking for one social media link. If you have multiple accounts for your art practice, we suggest including your most used account, then linking to your other accounts from there (eg. creating a "Link In Bio" such as Linktree) and/or from your website.

  • Your Text in the directory

We've added even more guidance about how to add your text into the form, and we highly recommend reading it before filling in your form.
  • Find the Guidelines about registration here.

NOTE : Change for 2025 : restricted direction characters to 85 (previously 99).

  • Payback Scheme

This is where you can tell us if you're interested in getting paid up to £50 back.
  • Open to all Open Studios artists - up to £50 for 5 hours work.

You can work up to 5 hours and then you will be refunded up to £50 once the work is completed.

Find all the information about the Payback job roles at www.sitefestival.org.uk/payback-scheme.

  • Sharing a Studio

This is where you tell us if you're sharing a space, and if you're looking for a studio to share. If you have a studio at SVA, you can simply type 'SVA'.
  • Collaboration

A huge part of Site Festival for us is collaborating with others. In this section you can tell us how you'd like to get involved.
  • From 'The Pink Room' installation at SVA. Two figures hold pink flowers in front of their faces, with a pink fabric backdrop and someone holding a phone to take a picture
  • Becoming a Mentor for Artist Bursary

We are offering 5 Artist Bursaries for artists aged 30 and under, to work with an established artist mentor. It will involve collaborating and supporting the artist, but also learning from them. We'd like to hear if you're interested in being a mentor, and we will contact you about matching with an artist between January and March.
  • Hosting an Artists Open Studios evening

This is where you can tell us if you would like to open your studio on a day in between Open Studios for fellow artists (choose any that are applicable). Timetables will be sent out in May, and if you signed up for a time then your studio needs to be open for fellow artists at this time. So please only tick the times you can commit to.
  • Note:

    • We've chosen times that were popular, but you're all encouraged to contact each other using the directories, to arrange visits at any time
    • You can also arrange your own public openings at different times
  • Skill Sharing with other artists

Tell us if you could host a 'skill share' with other artists. We're considering sessions that are about one hour long to invite Site Festival artists along to, so you can connect and learn skills from each other.
  • Private View dates (optional)

Some of you told us you have private views, and would like to promote them, so here you can tell us if you'd like to host and promote a public Private View before or during Open Studios. We'll list the PVs on the website and/or send out a newsletter to promote your Private Views.
  • Payment for Open Studios 2025

  • Payment Notes

    • If you have a studio at SVA your registration fee and membership is included in your monthly rent, so you should have a discount code to enter below.
    • If you don't know yet how many people you will be sharing with, you will need to pay the full fee and then be refunded the difference.
    • We use Stripe to manage the card payments, so you should receive a confirmation email from Stripe as well as Jotform. Do check your spam folder if you don't see this email straight away.

        • Gift Aid is a great way to increase your contribution to SVA (Stroud Valleys Artspace) at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer and consent to Gift Aid, your membership will be worth 25% more to SVA as we will be able to reclaim the tax you will have already paid on the individual element of your membership.

For every £1 that you give we can claim an additional 25p from HM Revenue and Customs.

        • Public Liability Insurance

IMPORTANT- It is the responsibility of artists and venues to ensure they have adequate insurance cover for the duration of Open Studios. Artists Newsletter (a-n) and Axisweb offer insurance cover as part of their annual subscriptions- but please check their details carefully first.
