Conference Evening Events

ESN wishes to minimise the amount of waste generated through the conference. Delegates are therefore asked to only register for these events if they will definitely attend them. Both these events have limited capacity, if you register for the event we count on you to let us know if you can no longer attend.
Official Reception
The City of Aarhus is pleased to invite you to a reception at Aarhus City Hall. Guests will be welcomed by Anders Winnerskjold, the Mayor of Aarhus Municipality, and Anders Kuhnau, Chairman of the Regional Council. During the reception, light refreshments will be served, and we will celebrate the summer solstice, locally known as Sankt Hans. More information here.

Networking Dinner
The ESSC 2025 Newtorking Dinner will take place in Aarhus International Sailingcenter, which offers an inviting experience by the sea. Located in the heart of Aarhus Ø, the center offers modern facilities with a stunning view of Aarhus Bay. Large windows flood the space with natural light, bringing the beauty of the sea indoors and offering a unique ambiance close to the water. More information here.

There is an additional 38 EUR fee to attend the Networking Dinner, selected in the Event Fees section. This helps cover the overall event cost.

Getting to and from the Networking Dinner:

This venue is approx. 2 km away from the Musikhuset. We offer you the following options to get there:
1. By guided walking tour: During this 45-minute walk, we will guide you past some of Aarhus' iconic buildings. Leaving at 18.45 from the Musikhuset.
2. By bus: Pick-up point at Musikhuset at 18.30 or 19.00.
3. On your own: If you would like to arrange your own transport and/or are staying close to the Aarhus International Sailing Centre.
A welcome reception will take place from 19.30 and the first course will be served at 20.00. Buses will collect guests at 22.30.

Activities provided by the local hosts
These activities give delegates the opportunity to visit local social projects in the City of Aarhus. They take place outside of the official conference programme on the morning of Sunday 22 June and the evening of Wednesday 25 June.

This is a free side event organised by the City of Aarhus, Central Region of Denmark and SocialSundhed in the afternoon of 22 June from 16.00-18.30. The seminar will focus results from relational implemented welfare approaches across the local area and region.
