Research Grant for Post-Graduates & Drama Therapy Professionals

Submissions accepted on a 6 month cycle DEADLINES FOR APPLICATION: January 15th and July 15th of each year
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Research Grant for Drama Therapy Professionals is to encourage research in the field of Drama Therapy.

AMOUNT OF AWARD: Up to $1000 each six-month application cycle.

Payment for measurement instruments
Statistics help or access to SPSS
Transcription
Transportation
Video and audio recording equipment, supplies, etc.

Other materials or services needed for the research.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for this Grant, the applicant must show professional experience in empirical testing and investigation utilizing standard and/or Drama Therapy measurement methods. If the applicant does not possess the expertise in drama therapy, they could partner with others possessing that expertise. Likewise, if the applicant does not possess expertise in empirical testing, but has expertise in drama therapy, they could partner with others who possess that expertise. The research may be qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. This research could be for a proposed new project or for refunding an existing project which shows promise. While recognizing the importance of investigating the artistic processes and the aesthetic impact of Drama Therapy, the Grant Committee encourages research on the clinical process and/or demonstratable behavioral, attitudinal, and/or affective outcomes of Drama Therapy. If the Grant application is for artistic process or aesthetic impact research, it is the responsibility of the applicant to make explicit the linkage between the clinical process and/or behavioral outcome.*
