PURPOSE OF THE CARE NETWORK
The Arizona Youth Pastoral Care Network is an intentional journey of discovering healthy rhythms in the unique seasons of life and ministry. Whether you are a seasoned youth ministry veteran, married with children, single in ministry, or you started youth ministry this week, we believe we are better together and you can find meaningful community in the Arizona Ministry Network.
Philosophy
Your cohort leader will help you identifying the main goals each youth pastor is hoping to achieve and unlock the underlying potential that is within your own leadership capacity that has yet to be released. There will be elements of both mentoring and coaching for the purpose of ministerial health and effectiveness. Your cohort leader is all about getting you from where you are to where you want to be. This is a relational partnership infused with like-minded leaders coming alongside you to sharpen, encourage, and deepen personal growth.
Outcomes
1) Identification of key motivational behaviors, clarity of ministry calling, and foster spiritual maturity and productivity for the purpose of ministry effectiveness. 2) A clear understanding of what it means to be a healthy disciple-maker in every area of life, not limited to youth ministry specifically. 3) Long term effectiveness for youth pastor, based on increased capacity to achieve results through building and maintaining healthy relationships.
Method
1) Each cohort will be contextualized to the season of life and ministry you are in and the objectives set by the youth pastors in your cohort 2) The goal isn’t as much to get through a resource together but to experience transformational growth in our time together. This will involve support, encouragement, validation, and truth-telling. 3) Each consecutive meeting will begin with a brief follow-up and review from the previous meeting to evaluate what was accomplished.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is essential to building the trust needed for an effective working relationship between the cohort leader and the youth pastors. The youth pastor has sole discretion to share or not share feedback assessments, the content of cohort conversations and any other information from the pastoral care segments.
Duration & Investment
1) Eight weeks total with a video call every other week for 90 minutes (x4). 2) At the end of eight weeks, we will evaluate the youth pastor's growth with an individual meeting, and the youth pastor may be asked to lead another future cohort.
