This program is geared towards 6th - 8th grade girls. Its purpose is to help provide a safe, positive Islamic atmosphere that will aid in nurturing the participant’s spirituality, identity, and confidence, as well as enable them to form bonds with their peers

PARENT/GUARDIAN PERMISSION AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN ISCJ LIT Qawareer Youth Program

 I am the parent/guardian of a participant in the Qawareer Youth Program to be held at ISCJ / NUI Campus.

I understand that although the participants will be supervised during the program mentioned, I hereby assume all of the risks of participating in any/all activities associated with this program, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.

I acknowledge that I will not seek to have the Islamic Society of Central Jersey held liable in the event that any accident, injury, loss of property or any other circumstance or incident occurs during or as a result of my son’s/daughter’s participation in the program. This release of liability includes accident, injury, loss, or damages to my child, as well as, to other individuals or property which may result from my child’s participation in the program. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless ISCJ, its officials, staff, employees and volunteers from any claims arising out of my son’s/ daughter’s participation in the program.

I also understand while participating in this program, my son/daughter may be photographed. I agree to allow these photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose including, but not limited to media reporting, marketing and advertisement by the program organizers.

The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

BY ELECTRONICALLY SIGNING BELOW, I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I ELECTRONCIALLY SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.

BEHAVIOR POLICY FOR PARTICIPATION IN ISCJ LIT Qawareer Youth Program

ISCJ LiT strives to ensure that all individuals associated with the program are treated in a respectful and fair manner. Though it is not possible to list all forms of behavior that are unacceptable, the following are examples of behavior that would be considered infractions of the ISCJ LiT behavior policy. Such behavior may result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the program. This list is not intended to be exhaustive: 

1. Disrespecting the masjid or its congregants.
2. Damaging masjid property in any way.
3. Disobeying or disrespecting any of the program coordinators.
4. Cursing in any form.
5. Bullying in any form, including but not limited to name-calling, insulting, taunting, and exclusion of others.
6. Acting aggressively or fighting with other participants, physically or verbally.
7. Wasting food.

Program coordinators will do their best to resolve any behavior offenses. If deemed necessary, the parent(s) of the participant(s) involved will be notified, and the participant(s) will be given a warning. 

Furthermore,

• Participants are expected to behave with excellent Islamic character.
• Participants are expected to listen to program coordinators at all times.
• Participants are expected to wear Islamically appropriate clothing which allows them to pray in the masjid.
• ISCJ LiT reserves the right to remove any participant from the program as deemed necessary, without refund.

Covid Health and Safety Alert

As a reminder restrictions and protocols have been put in place in order to protect our congregants and prevent the spread of COVID-19. ISCJ expects full cooperation from the community.

Indoors - Masks are optional

1. If you are feeling sick please stay home and help protect our congregation
2. Anyone sick or had contact with someone with COVID in the past 14 days stay home!
3. Anyone traveling out of state must not attend the program for 1 week after their arrival back to the state. 
    

The Islamic Society of Central Jersey's top priority is to protect the health and well-being of our community. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving this goal and many factors come into play

Individuals who violate these rules put the entire community at risk resulting in potential outbreaks. Please be mindful that many of our community members are elders and may have underlying health conditions. If you are sick please stay home and/or have underlying health conditions, we strongly recommend you stay home for your safety.
