Application Fee: $1,000.00 Jamaican Dollars (non-refundable). No interviews required.

Thank you for your interest in applying to the Real Estate Salesman Courses (RESC). Applications will be accepted online only. We ask that you read carefully and adhere to the instructions below.
When completing this application please ensure that you have with you:

certified copies of your qualifications (requirement details noted below)
a copy of your application fee payment receipt. (banking information noted below)
a copy of your government issued photo identification (Passport/Driver's Licence/Elector Registration Identification Card). You must be 18 years of age or older.

In addition, please ensure that all required documents are uploaded, as incomplete submissions will not be processed.

Regulation 11 of the Real Estate (Dealers and Developers) Act indicates that all persons - whether one is a citizen of Jamaica or a citizen of an overseas country- must pass the Pre-Licensing Course for Salesmen to become a licensed real estate agent in Jamaica. If your application is successful, additional information on the procedure by which one may register, enroll and apply for module exemptions will be provided in the registration package that will be sent to you.

NOTIFICATION: To all prospective students of the Real Estate Training Institute (RETI). TAKE NOTICE THAT:

If an Applicant has been previously convicted of an offence involving fraud or dishonesty or is an undischarged bankrupt as stated and outlined in Sections 14, 15 and 21 (1)-(2) of the Real Estate (Dealers and Developers) Act (REDDA); and/or
If the Board is not satisfied that the Applicant is not a fit and proper person to be registered as a Dealer or Salesman under Section 15 of REDDA,

such an applicant will not be granted a licence by the Real Estate Board to practice Real Estate Business under the Act (REDDA).
Students are reminded that any person who practices Real Estate Business without a licence is liable to a fine or imprisonment or both under Section 44 of REDDA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

N.B. All copies of your certificates must be witnessed and sealed by a Justice of the Peace (JP) and must state the following:
'I certify that this is a true copy of the original'

Please ensure that the JP’s name, JP's government assigned number, date of JP's certification and Seal are legible on the certified documents. The JP's certification must be on the front page of the document and should not cover any of the information on the certificate.
You must have the following qualification or higher to be accepted to the course:

Five (5) Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC/CXC) subjects including English Language and Mathematics at the General Proficiency Level with a Grade I, II or III (as of 1998) or
Five (5) General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics with a Grade A, B or C or
For overseas citizens who are licensed real estate agents in an overseas country You must submit a certified copy your licence as a real estate agent in the overseas country that you are operating in when applying to the Pre-Licensing Course for Salesmen.
