Informed Consent, Waiver & Release of Liability for Yoga Sessions

Informed Consent
I understand that I am voluntarily choosing to participate in trauma-sensitive yoga sessions led by Ava Valentino Vieths, a certified yoga teacher. These sessions may include physical movement, breathwork, and mindful awareness. As with any form of physical activity, I understand that there are inherent risks, which may include but are not limited to muscle strain, changes in blood pressure, dizziness, emotional discomfort, or, in rare instances, more serious health concerns.

I affirm that I am physically and mentally able to participate in yoga activities. I agree to monitor my own physical and emotional well-being during each session and to notify the instructor immediately of any pain, discomfort, or concerns. I understand that my participation is at all times voluntary and that I may modify or discontinue participation at any time.

I understand that Ava Valentino Vieths is not a licensed medical or mental health professional. These yoga sessions are not intended as a substitute for medical or psychological care. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to seek appropriate professional support when necessary.

Waiver & Release of Liability
By signing this document, I voluntarily and knowingly assume full responsibility for all risks, both known and unknown, associated with my participation in these yoga sessions. I hereby release, waive, and discharge Ava Valentino Vieths, the House of Freya, and their agents, employees, volunteers, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, or demands for injuries, losses, or damages, including those arising from the ordinary negligence of the aforementioned parties.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any third-party claims resulting from my participation in these sessions.

Governing Law & Severability
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
