  • AI has become an integral part of many of the technology tools we use at Southern, including Microsoft 365. Microsoft Learn for Educators has offered Southern the ability to host a three-part Foundational AI Bootcamp for 40 faculty members.

The training will take place over three days. The first session will be in person on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 12 - 3:30 p.m. The second and third sessions will be virtual and take place on Tuesday, December 10, and Wednesday, December 11, from 12 - 3 p.m.

Because the sessions are sequential and designed to build on each other, attendance at the in-person Day 1 session is required to participate in this round of training. We recognize that the timing of this training might not work for everyone who is interested. Unfortunately, we have no flexibility in the scheduling of these sessions, but our hope is that this is the first of more trainings to come.

The training does not require any prior experience with AI and is open to both those who have experience with AI and Microsoft Copilot as well as those who are just starting.

This training is open exclusively to faculty and is not available to staff or students. If you are interested and can commit to all three days, please sign up here as soon as possible. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and the registration form will close once we reach capacity.
