    The Henry County Branch of the NAACP cordially invites you to participate in the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, Monday, January 20, 2025, at 9:00 am. The lineup is at 9:00 am and the parade will begin at 10:00 am at the Henry County Performing Arts Center, 37 Lemon Street, McDonough, GA 30253. This entry form along with $50.00 registration fee payable to the Henry County NAACP and the signed waiver of liability agreement must be received by January 17, 2025, to participate in the parade. Henry County School Groups Participate for Free** All Participants must complete the form One Registration per Entry / Incomplete forms will not be accepted ** Name of Organization

  • 1. Every entry must have a sign showing the individuals group, or organization being represented.

    2. No consumption of alcoholic beverages in the lineup or during the parade.

    3. Participants will not be allowed to throw items from vehicles and floats.

    4. No candy or other souvenir items, will be handed out or than thrown from the vehicles.

    5. No inappropriate behavior, comments or attire will be tolerated.

    6. Any violation of these rules or violation of the law will result in disqualification and/or removal from parade line up.

    7. No refund of registration fee.

    8. All Henry County Government COVID-19 Protocols will be followed. Under GA law, there is no liability for an injury or death of an individual volunteering to participate in this event. If such injury or death results from the inherent risk of contracting COVID-19. You are assuming this risk by volunteering to participate in this event.

  • PARADE RELEASE & WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT

  • 2022 MLK PARADE, MCDONOUGH, GA

  • IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to participate in the NAACP MLK Parade and/or activities relating to the NAACP MLK Parade and Program in McDonough, GA to be held on January 17, 2022. I, for myself, my organization, my fellow members of this organization, and their employees, volunteers, agents, successors, assigns, heirs and next of kin: (hereinafter referred to as "Parade Entry"), 1. HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the Parade, the Henry County Branch NAACP, The Parade committee, Parade sponsors and/or all Parade participants and the directors, officers, employees or agents of the foregoing (hereinafter referred to as "Releasees"), from all liability to me, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to my person or property or resulting in death, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise while I am observing, working for or participating in the Parade (included but not limited to, all preparations, therefore the Parade itself, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities); 2. HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or costs they may incur due to my presence in any way observing, or working for, or participating in the Parade (including, but not limited to, all preparations, therefore the Parade itself, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities), and whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise;

    OR PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence of Releasees or otherwise while observing, or working for, or participating in the Parade (including, but not limited to, all preparations, therefore the Parade itself, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities I expressly acknowledge and agree that the activities of the Parade (including, but not limited to, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities) are dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. I further expressly agree that the forgoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Georgia, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, in full legal force and effect. I HAVE READ AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THE RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY and further agree that no oral representation, statements, or inducements apart from the forgoing written agreement have been made, and that this Release is being relied upon by the Parade in permitting my organization to participate in this Parade. I also represent that I am authorized to sign this document on behalf of myself and/or my organization.

    3. HEREBY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY HARM, DEATH
