5. A list of scholarships applied for and the status of application(s)
6. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) names, occupation and employer
7. Family financial information - household income, dependent children in the home, amount of savings for educational purposes, etc. 
8. You must also provide a personal letter of approximately 200 words, discussing your ambitions, future plans, and why you feel you deserve a scholarship. This can be prepared ahead of time and copied/pasted into the application

Lance and Leann Hanshaw Servant-Leader Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student in honor of two of Lonoke County's servant-leaders. The late Leann Hanshaw was a retired Cabot elementary school counselor, member of the board of the Open Arms Shelter, and Adult Sunday School teacher for 26 years. She served in her church, school, and community all the time she lived in Cabot. Lance Hanshaw, retired Lonoke County Circuit Judge, has instituted numerous programs to help children and teens in Cabot and surrounding towns while effectively serving and leading in his church and community. Only those who, like the Hanshaws, are willing to serve others, make strong and effective leaders. It is our desire to reward a young person each year that exemplifies the high standards of servant-leaders like Lance and Leann Hanshaw. This scholarship is to be awarded in two equal payments to the qualified recipient. 

To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: 

• Must have demonstrated strong service, leadership and high moral character in his/her church, school and community
• Must have held at least one office in a church, school, or community organization
• Must write an essay for the scholarship committee, with a minimum of 200 words and a maximum of 500 words, describing the benefits of serving others
• Must complete one service project his/her first semester in college

Dr. Martha Ray Marshall Moment of Lift Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a femal student who is the first in her family to further her education through college or trade/vocational school. 

Applicants must submit a 500-word essay explaining their plans after graduation from high school and what it means to be a first-generation female to further her education.

3) Most awards are to be used the first two semesters of college and that I am expected to remain in school for at least that long. 

4) If I fail to complete a semester, I will repay any award used during the incomplete semester. 

5) This information will be made available to scholarship sponsors and donors (as requested). 

6) Military Academy Appointees are ineligible for local scholarship funding. 

7) I authorize Cabot High School to release my seven-semester transcript to the scholarship committee. 

8) I understand that if I change colleges, I may forfeit this award since some are limited to institutions in Arkansas.
