2025 IACAC High School Counselor Challenge

The Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) is offering three scholarships for high school counselors in Illinois to attend the Annual Conference in Peoria, IL from April 23-25, 2025.

This scholarship covers conference registration fees, lodging on Wednesday & Thursday nights (covers half of the room fee), as well as membership to IACAC for the remainder of the 2024-25 membership year and throughout the 2025-2026 membership year.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

be a high school counselor in Illinois, and
work with underrepresented (i.e. first generation, rural, students of color) or undocumented students.

In addition, preference will be given to those who:

have not attended an IACAC Annual Conference previously, and/or
work in an under-resourced school where financial support for professional development is severely limited or non-existent.

Applicants selected for the scholarship will:

receive membership with IACAC for the remainder of the 2024-25 year
receive one (1) IACAC membership for the 2025-2026 membership year
be paired with a mentor who will help you explore the benefits of IACAC
