Welcome to Paper Hug Greetings!
We’re thrilled you’re considering joining our Kindness Mission Program. Before submitting your application, we kindly ask that you review these terms and conditions. Submitting your application will be considered as your agreement to these terms.

1. Scope of the Agreement
This agreement is between you (“You” or “Your”) and Paper Hug Greetings. It outlines the expectations and responsibilities of both parties as part of the Kindness Mission Program.
2. Patient Participation Terms
To ensure a positive experience for everyone involved, we kindly ask you to agree to the following:
Weekly Cards:
Our Ambassador volunteers aim to send you weekly cards. However, please understand that they are volunteers using their own time and resources, so while this is our goal, it cannot be guaranteed.
Monthly Check-ins:
You must respond to the monthly check-in emails we send. Failure to do so may result in removal from the program. If you’re unable to respond, please ask your emergency contact (provided in your application) to update us, particularly in the event of health-related issues.
Privacy:
Your personal information will remain private and will only be shared within Paper Hug Greetings Directors, Officers, employees, and your assigned Ambassadors.
Responses to Ambassadors:
You’re not required to respond to your Ambassador unless you’d like to. Communication is entirely optional on your part.
One-Way Communication:
Communication is intended to be one-way—from the Ambassador to you, the patient—via mail. Visiting, calling, or other direct contact is not part of the program. If such contact is requested by the patient, it must be outside the program, and Paper Hug Greetings is not liable for any resulting interactions.
Exiting the Program:
If you feel the program isn’t a good fit for you, simply let us know, and we’ll remove you from the program.
Inappropriate Communications:
If you receive cards or communication that feels inappropriate or makes you uncomfortable, please notify us immediately.
Financial, Legal, or Medical Discussions:
Refrain from discussing financial, legal, or medical issues with your Ambassadors. Please do not ask for advice, referrals, or assistance in these areas.
Requests for Items:
Please do not request physical items, such as gifts, money, or gift cards, from your Ambassadors.
Social Media and Publicity:
We may share your first name and a brief overview of your story in newsletters or on social media. We will only share specific details about your diagnosis or photos if you’ve provided explicit permission.
Program Duration:
Participation in the program is typically limited to 24 months to ensure we can help as many people as possible. Exceptions may be made at our discretion or in hospice situations.
3. Binding Agreement
This agreement, whether provided electronically or in print, is legally binding and enforceable.
4. Intellectual Property
a) All content on our website is protected by U.S. and international copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
b) Do not remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices from any content on our site.
5. Links to External Websites
Our website may include links to external sites for your convenience. However, Paper Hug Greetings is not responsible for the accuracy or content of these external sites. Use them at your own discretion.
6. Warranty Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
a) While we strive for accuracy, occasional errors may occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content.
b) To the fullest extent allowed by law, Paper Hug Greetings and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or special damages.
7. Indemnity
You agree to protect and hold harmless Paper Hug Greetings, including its team, from any claims or liabilities arising from your participation in the program or your use of our site.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the state Court of Common Pleas in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
9. Unenforceable Terms
If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining terms will still apply, with the unenforceable provision replaced by one that closely matches the original intent.

11. Availability and Use of the Site
Occasional factors outside our control, such as internet issues, may affect the availability of our website. Paper Hug Greetings is not responsible for such disruptions.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to remove you from the program without prior notice if necessary. While we hope this never happens, it may be required in rare circumstances.
13. Reservation of Rights
Paper Hug Greetings reserves all rights not explicitly granted in these terms.
14. Modifications to the Site
We may modify or discontinue parts of our website or program at any time without liability.
