GOL Renewed Policies and Procedures Update
Dear Art Cart Instructor,
As part of our commitment to better serve the community of CAMH clients, staff, and instructors, we are excited to offer you CAMH Trauma-Informed, De-Escalation Education for Safety and Self-Protection (TIDES) training.
This program equips patient-facing individuals with essential tools to work safely and effectively within CAMH facilities. Grounded in global best practices, it focuses on trauma-informed approaches, preventative measures, and early interventions to prioritize the safety and well-being of both patients and staff.
TIDES is part of the Safe and Well CAMH initiative, emphasizing physical and psychological health and wellness. This free, comprehensive training will enhance your knowledge and service delivery in clinical environments.
Mandatory Requirement
Starting fiscal year 2025/2026, completion of TIDES training will be mandatory under Section 1 of your service agreement, “Engagement and Orientation.” To continue as an Art Cart Instructor, you must complete the training.
If unavailable, a final opportunity to complete the training will be offered in January 2025. We encourage you to complete this training at your earliest opportunity to ensure you are fully prepared and to avoid any challenges in your role.
