  • Co-LED Camp | Lead. Envision. Decide.

    Co-LED Camp is designed for co-leaders and catalysts for social change. Whether you are in a non-profit, government, community movement building, arts collective, education, or philanthropic spaces - this residential week-long retreat is designed for co-leads to deepen their partnership and collaboration. 

    Our curriculum centers our core principles of being Black-liberative, trauma-informed, and anti-racist. The Co-LED Camp facilitation team will lead participants through a series of embodied practices, reflective exercises, dialogues and play. Participants leave with strengthened skills and deeper self-awareness to approach their leadership in new ways.

    As co-leaders, collaboration, decision-making, and accountability can be challenging. Co-LED Camp is designed to address these major needs and to explore how shared belonging, repair, and vision can fortify our work and teams. Join us for this interactive residential retreat; themes include:

    Thank you for applying to Co-LED Camp! This application tells you a bit about Co-LED Camp and tells us a bit about you, your co-leadership team, and your priorities. We are excited to meet you at the interview after review of your application.

  • INSTRUCTIONS | Please have each co-leadership team member complete an individual form. You can choose to "Save & Continue Later" at the end of the form if you wish to complete in phases. Once complete, you will have the option to "Review Answers" and then to "Submit".

    • Diversity | In our work we build inclusive, diverse, and supportive spaces for community. In doing so, we work to build safety so folks can bring their full selves and experiences to the gathering. Often, sharing our intersectional identities can help us be our authentic selves. 

      We center the needs and experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), QT/BIPOC and Two-Spirit people, LGBTQIA+ folks, people with disabilities, elders, and youth.

      If you wish, you may share some about your intersectional identity. This is fully optional. Completion or opting out of completing this section will not impact your application or ability to attend.

    • Lodging + Meals 

    • LODGING | Lodging is in shared rustic cabins at Westerbeke Ranch and is included with registration

      Please be aware that lodging accommodations have:

      1. inclusion of nights of July 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, with checkout on August 1st
      2. shared rooms with 1-2 roommates
      3. matches to roommates who are *not* part of your co-leadership team
      4. in-room fans available but are not air conditioned
      5. limited solo rooms available (+$1,000)
      6. ADA accommodation rooms (limited availability upon request)
        are shared rooms with 1-2 roommates

    • MEALS | All meals from dinner time on July 28th thru lunch time on August 1st are included with registration. Shared meals are prepared by Westerbeke chefs and team; served buffet or family style. A variety of food and dietary options can be made available by request in advance.


    • Access & Accommodations 

    • We will work to the best of our ability to provide supports as requested. Westerbeke is a small, family-owned ranch with older structures and cabins, some almost 80 yrs old. There are some rooms with access accommodations. The facilitation team will utilize design and technology tools as available. Please note needs the venue and retreat organizers should be aware of for planning.


    • Cost + Payment + Scholarships 

    • TRAVEL COSTS| In addition to the registration cost, each attendee is responsible for booking and costs associated with flight, ground transportation, as well as any incidentals for travel (estimate of $250 - $900 / attendee in cost).

    • COVID-19 Policy

      Co-LED Camp and our site host are keeping watch on the CDC and the Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations. 

      Any masking or testing requirements for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals will be disclosed closer to the event, in an effort to align with the latest CDC and public health guidance. We will be in regular contact with guests about any COVID-19 protocols that may arise as conditions change. 

      If COVID-19 safety protocols are needed due to public health guidance, we will communicate and implement regular testing and mask use when indoors for this gathering. Participation in these guidelines, if implemented, will be required for attendance.

      Upon arrival at the retreat center, if we are under COVID-19 guidelines, each participant may communicate and identify their personal physical contact preference (contact with consent, limited contact, or no contact) Please do not travel if you are not feeling well or if you may have been recently exposed to the COVID-19 virus.
