    We maintain a waitlist of eligible applicants and conduct interviews when a unit becomes available. You may be asked to supply more information or clarification.

    If any details of your application change (mailing address, email, income, family size, phone numbers), please let us know via email so that we can reach you when a unit becomes available.

  • Housing Initiatives of Princeton Transitional Housing Application

    HIP is more than just a housing provider. We partner with you to define and meet your personal, vocational, financial, and housing goals. When you move into one of HIP's transitional housing units, you will be required to engage in a full array of support programs we offer, including, but not limited to, financial planning, affordable housing navigation, job coaching and more.

    What you can expect:

    • Transitional housing and wrap-around services for you and your family
    • Individualized case management by an HIP social worker
    • Support in applying for area affordable housing waiting lists

    When you move into HIP transitional housing you commit to:

    • Pay rent (30% of gross pay) on time
    • Maintain your home in good condition
    • Meet virtually or in-person with your case manager at least twice per month
    • Communicate regularly with your HIP liaison
    • Meet a credit/financial planner monthly
    • Complete and submit affordable housing applications within two months of starting the HIP program
