    Evergreen and Hillcrest Cemeteries
    • Notification: The Town Clerk must be informed seven days before any monument or marker is placed on a lot.
    • Approval: Monuments and markers must be approved by the Parks Supervisor on approved forms before installation can take place.
    • Scheduling: Monument work may only be done Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Those wishing to install a monument must notify the Parks Supervisor one week before installation.
    • Material: Monuments and markers must be constructed from marble, bronze, granite, or other permanent materials approved by the Town.
    • Placement: Only one monument or marker is allowed per lot, placed at the head.
    • Foundation: Monuments and markers must have level bottoms and sit on foundations set at or below ground level. The foundation must be centered on the lot, with a six-inch margin on all sides. The maximum size allowed for a single marker is 4 feet in length and 2.5 feet in width. The maximum size for a double marker is 7.5 feet in length and 2.5 feet in width.
    • Dimensions:
      • Single-grave monuments: No more than 3 feet in length, 3 feet in height, and 1.5 feet in width.
      • Multi-lot markers: Up to 6.5 feet in length, 3 feet in height, and 1.5 feet in width.
