Rules & Regulations
1. Picking a specifically colored rose will choose the Little Swiss Miss and her court.
2. The winning girl will receive $100.00 cash, crown, sash, and flowers. Two co‐attendants will be chosen, each receiving $50.00 cash, sash and flowers.
3. As Swiss Miss or co‐attendant, you are NEVER to wear your crown or sash without your Swiss outfit, and you are NEVER to go to an event without direct approval from the Little Swiss Miss Chairperson. This is strictly enforced.
4. The reigning Swiss Miss will be expected to appear at the Ohio Swiss festival Kiddies parade, the Ohio Swiss Festival Grand Parade, Dover/New Philadelphia Unity Christmas Parade, First Town Days Parade, and local events as requested. To attend unapproved events will lead to termination of the title.
5. To be eligible to compete, you must be in grades 3, 4, or 5 and reside within 20 miles of Sugarcreek. You must not hold a current title with any other Ohio Festival and Events Association festival. If selected Little Swiss Miss or attendant, you may not enter another OFEA contest during your reigning year.
All applicants MUST attend a meeting on Monday, September 7 at 6 pm. at the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church on Broadway in Sugarcreek. A parent or guardian must attend as well. Rules and regulations will be reviewed at this time. It is also mandatory that contestants attend a picture session for newspapers on Monday, Sept 7th at 6 pm. at the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church.
