March 6-9 is the 8th Annual Ocean City Film Festival. We’re screening 90+ films in venues around the resort for four days. These are original, independent films, local and international, hand-selected by us, many with premieres and exclusive showings. Our venues include local movie houses plus parties and gatherings with the filmmakers at popular local hot spots. We are in need of volunteers to help sell tickets, merchandise, usher and help at some of the parties.
There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting on Wednesday, February 19th at 3:30pm at the Art League of Ocean City. During the meeting you will receive your free film festival shirt to wear during your volunteer shifts, an ID lanyard and all the details you will need. High School student volunteers are expected to attend and will count towards volunteer hours. You MUST attend this meeting to volunteer for the OC Film Festival. (Tech volunteers will have separate training)
By volunteering for the OC Film Festival you are helping us create a platform for filmmakers to show their work to film goers.
We are also in need of tech volunteers for the weekend of the film festival. Some experience is required. Volunteers should be able to...
Operate a blue ray player and change discs according to schedule
Be comfortable with operating a windows laptop and Macbook
Be able to turn on and off lights during films
Be able to operate a microphone. Basically turn a mic on the mix board and the speakers
Tear down gear if needed. (Unplug cables, turn off laptop or Blu ray)
You will receive an email once the volunteer sign up is available.
